Michael started his career in the unusual area of mapping sugar cane in South Africa. He later moved into Photogrammetry, though he did not realise that is what it was called!

 

A move to the UK soon followed, working for a company based in Scotland, where Michael continued in Photogrammetry before moving into the field of 3D Measured Survey. While in Scotland he got his hands on one of the first laser scanners available in the UK and had the fun challenge of figuring out how to use it! This love of survey persisted for over 16 years before SIAD Group came calling and where he fell back into the world of Photogrammetry once again.

 

Outside of work, Michael also has a love of all thing photography.
